Local artists lend talents to Toys for Tots Campaign

Beckley, WV – Toys for Tots of Southern West Virginia has been providing less fortunate children in our area toys for Christmas for several years.
The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better our community in the future.
This year Toys for Tots reached out to local artists asking them to lend their talents to the campaign. Since it’s inception in 1947 celebrities have supported Toys for Tots performing the theme song in their own original style. “We want to thank Zoo of Trees and Emmalea Deal for their amazing renditions of the Toys for Tots signature song. They have done a beautiful job bringing a fresh perspective to this classic song” Say’s Southern Communications Director of Group Programming, Rick Rizer.
Applications for the Toys for Tots Campaign will be taken through November 27th. You may apply online here.
New and Unwrapped toys may be dropped off at any Toys for Tots bin located conveniently throughout Southern West Virginia.
If you are an artist who would like to submit your version of the Toys for Tots song, please send it in MP3 form here
