ALTON BROWN TALKS REVAMPED GOOD EATS

On October 15th, the Cooking Channel is debuting “Good Eats: Reloaded,” a combination of classic episodes of the original Food Network juggernaut with new footage that addresses holes in host Alton Brown’s research and techniques. He says that he came up with the idea after watching reruns of Season 1 of “Good Eats.” “I realized, ‘Oh my God, I would do everything different now.’ I kept watching, and I started making notes. I was like, ‘Okay, shows where there are things that I could change, shows where I made mistakes, shows where we now have new information,’ and all of a sudden I had 13 shows that I basically want to redo. And I thought, ‘Well, I don’t want to remake them, what else could I do?’ I’ll reload them. I’ll renovate them.” Brown and Atlanta-based restaurant designer Elizabeth Ingram wed over the weekend in Charleston.
